Vourkari birdwatching seminar (3)

A 1st winter Mediterranean gull (Larus melanocephalus – Μαυροκέφαλος Γλάρος)
Vourkari is the best wetland in Attiki to observe gulls. Four gull species were observed last Sunday during the birdwatching seminar. Its theme was the birds related with water (waders, gulls, ducks etc)

Actitis hypoleucos (Common sandpiper – Ακτίτης)

And that day’s commonest gull species, Black headed gull (Larus ridibundus – Καστανοκέφαλος Γλάρος)
