PBR 2010 (30) – Calidris temminckii

Although it’s not a rarity Temminck’s Stint (Σταχτοσκαλίδρα) is far more difficult to be observed than Little Tint & the most of the others common Calidris. The ratio of Temminck’s Stint observations in Greece is lower than 1/20 in comparison with Little Stint. The more distinctive characteristic is the pale legs.

A Greenfinch (Carduelis Chloris – Φλώρος) & a Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos – Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια) from the same day excursion.

28/4.
