Circus aeruginosus (Καλαμόκιρκος – Marsh Harrier) is one of the commonest and easier to observe raptors especially the females. On the contrary an observation of a male individual is rare, with a ratio 1/8 or less.
At the first visit of this years Common Bird Census, i observed 6 different raptors species in aprox (except one Short toed Eagle later on) the first 2 hours of the day (7:00 – 9:00).

Anthus campestris (Ωχροκελάδα – Tawny Pipit)
