Regulus ignicapilla – Motacilla cinerea

img_9126_regign

The day before Christmas i went for a short walk to Filopappou hill. The conditions were perfect. A freezing north wind made a crystal clear atmosphere. Several Regulus ignicapilla (Firecrest) at an olive tree (common habitat in winter) & one Song thrush were the more interesting observations.
Below a juvenile Motacilla cinerea (Grey Wagtail) not concerned with my presence.
