Dendrocopos syriacus
Syrian Woodpecker (Βαλκανικός Δρυοκολάπτης) is the most easily observed Woodpecker species among humans in Greece.
On the contrary species easily seen in Central and Northern Europe, like Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers, in Greece are mostly, strictly limited in forested habitats.
